Herbal Teas

This month in "Our Guide To Tea Favorites", we're featuring herbal teas.

Herbal teas can be made with fresh or dried flowers, leaves, seeds, or roots.  These teas are not only flavorful, they are often consumed for their physical or medicinal effects, especially for their stimulant, relaxant, or sedative properties.

The acknowledged benefits of herbal teas include the following:
  • High in antioxidants, vitamins and minerals
  • May help control allergies and fight colds
  • Good for your skin and complexion
  • Can help improve digestion
  • Naturally caffeine-free
At SummerBrooke Gardens, we carry a number of herbal teas.  This month we are featuring Citrus Mint and Flora by Tea Forte.

Citrus Mint is a cool, brilliant peppermint, complemented by sunny citrus zest.  The peppermint is grown in Bulgaria in Eastern Europe, and much of the citrus comes from Spain.

Flora is a luscious, ruby red blend of hibiscus, cinnamon and licorice.  The hibiscus comes from Thailand, while the cinnamon and licorice originate in Indonesia and China, respectively.

Both of these teas are available in attractive loose tea canisters containing 35 servings and priced at $14.99.

If any of you have tried either of these lovely teas, please let us know what you think!
